Does Medicare cover a lift chair?
Medicare Part B covers the lifting mechanism of a seat-lift chair if your doctor writes an order saying it is medically necessary. Medicare does not cover the chair itself, only the motor that lifts you. Your share is usually 20% after the Part B deductible.
What about the chair part? That's most of the cost.
